FAQs About My Appointment:

Q. What do I need to bring with me to the appointment?

A. Please bring your CALIFORNIA State ID or Driver’s License. Also, you may bring your relevant medical records, and any prescriptions you might be using (either the bottle or your doctors’ prescription) and your Cann-Medical physician will decide if any more records are needed.

Q. What happens at an appointment?

A. We will simply take some patient medical history and talk about your evaluation during the appointment. There are no tests, of any kind.

Q. Can I bring my caregiver with me on my appointment?

A. Yes! We encourage you to bring your primary care-giver or a family member to sit with you during your evaluation. We can talk with you both regarding your care and recommendation.

Q. How should I dress?

A. Please dress comfortably, as you would if you were going out to your primary care physician for a check-up.

Q. How long is my appointment?

A. Plan on a minimum of 15 to 30 minutes to discuss your care history and talk about options to consider along with a plan of action for your on-going care and treatment.

Q. Can I take my recommendation home that day?

A. Yes! After your evaluation, if you and your doctor agree that medical marijuana is a relevant and prudent course of action, our office staff will prepare a letter of recommendation and a Cann-Medical ID card for you to take away with you, that day.

Q. It’s hard for me to set up appointments during the week – are you open on weekends?

A. YES! We have a licensed physician, in attendance, 7 days a week and we are open evenings until 6pm Monday – Saturday and Sunday we’re open until 5pm. Walkins are welcome up to 5pm, Mon – Sat and Sunday, by 4pm.
